The 3L1T3 Golf Association is focused on the growth of the EGA Tour and the Coastal Cup.
Founded in 2020, during the COVID-pandemic as all of the other community projects developed by 3L1T3 in Detroit were put on hold (besides mask-making), the league formed naturally as Ali Beydoun convinced Bill George to spend a lot more time on the course in 2019, and when everything closed down except the local muni, the crew assembled as soon as the snow melted in Detroit.
It was the shortest off-season ever as the two played ice-covered greens in December of ’19 followed by a record number of rounds in 2020. Will Bass caught the bug as well and after getting the invite to the Concord Cup and seeing the history, he was bought in to the idea of what a league could become. Will and Billy drafted up the initial format, schedule and rankings algorithm on a cross-country road-trip to Boston for the annual New Years Trip.
And the rest is history
